Born in Liverpool in 1968 Lee Jones  won a national art competition at the age of nine and left school at fifteen to pursue a display design course. His personal artistic studies of the human form continued alongside his course enabling him to exhibit and sell his work.

At 21 Lee Jones travelled to America to broaden his horizons and he opened a studio in Hollywood where he produced and sold many paintings, He returned to the UK in 1990, continued to study female beauty and has enjoyed numerous group and one-man exhibitions and prides himself on being a self-taught painter in what he describes as a vocation, rather than a profession.

Lee Jones is inspired almost to obsession by pure natural female beauty and uses numerous styles and mediums in order to see every angle form and emotion needed to go beyond realism. Inspired by music, dance, culture, mythology, erotica and fantasy, natural beauty and light, Lee brings out the inner beauty of his models. His concept is to focus on her most attractive qualities to try to capture a moment which captures her personality and aura.
